We’re Clovis and Heather, the couple behind the tent, the firewood stacks, and the quiet little forest escape waiting for you here on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore.

Our story began on the other side of the country in Tofino, British Columbia. Like many people who fall in love with that place, we found ourselves drawn to the simple rhythm of nature — slow mornings, ocean air, and evenings spent around a fire.
​
Over the years we’ve travelled throughout Canada and beyond, always seeking out unique places to stay. Cabins tucked into forests, small guesthouses run by welcoming hosts, and cozy spaces that made us feel instantly relaxed. Those experiences inspired us to create something similar here at home.

Littlewoods was born from that idea.
​
We wanted to create a place where people could step away from busy schedules, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a comfortable outdoor experience without needing to rough it. A place that feels peaceful, simple, and welcoming.
​
The tent is set privately in the woods on our property near Porters Lake, about 40 minutes from Halifax. It’s close enough for an easy weekend getaway, but just far enough away that the pace slows down the moment you arrive.
